I want that Xiao Long Bao

We do love to eat out but yes, when the pandemic started, we stayed home and just went out whenever we needed groceries and other essentials. But before the pandemic, whenever we have extra budget, we would treat ourselves to a nice lunch or dinner somewhere. Usually, this is to a restaurant where we don’t always go to or one that we haven’t tried yet.

This weekend though, we ate at Modern Shanghai for the first time. *whispers* I have been eyeing their Xiao Long Bao for a long time already.

Finally, ✨.

We ordered the following:

• Sweet and Sour Chicken bowl
• Kung Pao Chicken bowl
• Signature Xiao Long Bao
• Chili Wanton Deep Fried Chicken
• Yang Chow Fried Rice 
• Shanghai Vegetable and Pork Wanton Noodles

I was not able to take a photo of everything. 😅

There were only four of us at that time. But we were extra hungry and even so, we were not able to finish all of them. No matter, we love take outs! 

I was able to taste all of them and they were very good. The Xiao Long Bao was surprisingly filling, as in iyon pa lang busog na ako 😅. Unbelievable, right? Also, they were flavorful. Definitely coming back even just for that. 💯

The two wok bowls we ordered were also good. I liked the Kung Pao Chicken wok bowl the best. 

Their Deep Fried Chicken was juicy and tasty. It has that flavor that we know goes well with the Yang Chao fried rice. 

Overall, our Modern Shanghai dine-in experience was memorable. The staff who assisted us were very nice, too.
